'I Following a brief inspection tour of the research reactor,'Mr.'Yuhas opened the meeting'by describing NRC's perception that more licensee management attention is needed at the Nuclear Radiation Cente Dr. Samuel Smith agreed, and described actions completed and those being taken to assure that a qualified applicant will be selected as the

Center's director. -Mr. Johnson specifically reviewed the security related allegation followup effort; Section 210 of the Energy

Reorganization Act of 1974; operation of the Reactor Safeguards committee; and the need to assure that any application for changes to the Technical Specifications be reflective of the licensee's desir Mr. Wainhouse discussed matters of concern to the State of Washington and reviewed the contents of their June 20, 1989, letter concerning the sealed radioactive sources in the pool. The licensee representative requested a future meeting with Mr. Wainhouse to discuss their evaluation of these sources and information necessary to respond to the June 20,
