Safeguards Branch Insp ction Summary Int,<ection on December 6-7, 1978 (Report No. 50-002/78-05)
Areas Inspected: Routine unannounced inspection of the licensee's approved security plan submitted to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation on August 25, 1978. Specifically, the inspection reviewed the following areas of the licensee's security program: Securit,y Plan, Protection of SNM, Security Organization, Access Control, Alarm Systems, Surveillance, Procedures, and Security Program Review.
Additionally, the inspectors also reviewed the licensee's corrective action with respect to the noncompliance identified during the April 26-28, 1978 physical protection inspection (IE Inspection Report No.
50-002/78-01). The inspection involved 30 inspection-hours on site by two NRC inspectors.
Results: Of the creas inspected, no items of noncompliance or deviations were found. The item of noncompliance previously identified was found to have been satisfactorily corrected. Weak-nesses in the licensee's security program we e noted and discussed at the exit meeting with reactor management.
