Letter, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. to USNRC, "Notification of Permanent Cessation of Power Operations," BVY 13-079, dated September 23, 2013
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated September 23, 2013 (Reference 1), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) notified the NRC of its decision to permanently cease power operation of Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY). Entergy currently has VY-related licensing actions under review with the NRC.
In light of the decision to permanently retire VY, this letter describes Entergy's intent regarding those licensing actions. For those actions whose status is listed as "withdrawn" in the following tables, this letter constitutes formal withdrawal of the referenced action.
