Dear Sir:

Florida Power Corporation (FPC), doing business as Progress Energy Florida, Inc., hereby withdraws the request for a one-time exemption from portions of the requirements of 10 CFR 26.205(d)(3) in its entirety. FPC submitted correspondence pertaining to the Part 26 exemption request by letters dated July 13, August 26, and September 23, 2010 and March 3, 2011, as referenced above. The proposed exemption was to have been applied during the restart of Crystal River Unit 3 (CR-3) from its current extended Refuel Outage (R16). However, restart of CR-3 has been delayed and the Part 26 exemption is not needed at this time. If needed, a new Part 26 exemption request will be submitted at a later date.

This correspondence contains no new regulatory commitments.

If you have any questions regarding this submittal, please contact Mr. Dan Westcott, Superintendent, Licensing and Regulatory Programs at (352) 563-4796.
