Title

Failure to Adequately Load Emergency Deisel Generator (EDG) During 24-Hour Endurance Test

Description

An NRC-identified Green NCV of Vogtle Nuclear Station TS, Section 5.4.1.a, Procedures, was identified for the licensees failure to implement the EDG 24-hour endurance surveillance procedure 14668A-1, Train A Diesel Generator Operability Test, revision 7.2, to operate the EDG as close as practicable to 3390 kVAR. Specifically, the licensee failed to carry out procedure steps and provisions that would assist in loading the EDG closer to the TS value of 3390 kVAR. The failure to follow procedure 14668A-1 and get as close as practicable to 3390 kVAR was a performance deficiency.
