Failure to Adequately Evaluate the Operability of Emergency Diesel Generator11

Description

A finding of very low safety significance was self-revealed for the licensees failure to adequately evaluate the operability of a condition adverse to quality identified on Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) 11. Specifically, a lube oil leak was evaluated as having no impact to the operation of the emergency diesel generator. However, during the next surveillance run of EDG 11, the engine had to be shut down and declared inoperable due to the lube oil leak degrading during operation.
