PUBLICATION OF NUREG-0801 "EVALUATION CRITERIA
, FOR DETAILED CONT (OL ROOM DESIGN REVIEWS' I have reviewed your memorandum of June 11, 1984, recomending pubiication of NUREG-0801. You indicated that NUREG-0801 has been reviewed by ACRS, CRGR, and the public and is consistent with Comission approved NUREG-0737, Supplement 1. I believe it is necessary to continue our policy of not using NUREG reports to promulgate regulatory guidance and that it is also desirable to maximize use of limited staff resources. Therefore, the proposed NUREG-0801 should be issued as an Appendix to Chapter 18 of the Standard Review Plan (SRP). This option should be accomplished with only a minimal number of changes to the current draft of NUREG,0801. The revised SRP should be considered an administrative revision to the SRP and does not require additional public cocment or internal review.
