NON EMERGENCY---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Offsite Notification to North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission"On May 29, 2012, a Loggerhead Sea Turtle was retrieved from the 2D circulating water pump intaketrash rack. The turtle was emaciated with no visible signs of injury. The condition of the turtle indicatesthat the death was recent. Therefore, the lethal take is most likely attributed to plant operations. Anecropsy will be performed and, if it is determined that the take is not attributed to plant operations, an update to this notification will be made.
