Docket No. 50-482: Update to Notification Letter Designating Wolf Creek Generating Station Balance of Plant Systems within the Cyber Security Rule Scope Gentlemen:
In reference 3, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) states that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff will articulate the Commission's decision regarding jurisdiction of the continuity of power, balance of plant systems structures and components in the near future.
The letter further states that NERC expects each licensee to provide its updated cyber security plan in accordance with a schedule to be provided by the NRC.
Consistent with the NERC expectation, Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) will provide an updated cyber security plan to the NRC within 60 days of the NRC staff direction regarding jurisdiction of the continuity of power, balance of plant systems structures and components unless the staff direction is consistent with the latest version of the Wolf Creek Generating Station Cyber Security Plan submitted to the NRC on July 19, 2010 (reference 1).
This commitment, as described in the attachment, replaces the commitment to submit a revised cyber security plan to the NRC for its review and approval on or before November 30, 2010 (reference 2)
