NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-220/98-09
AND 50-410/98-09
Dear Mr. Mueller:
This letter transmits the findings of safety inspections conducted by NRC inspectors at the
Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Units
1 and 2, from July 5 through August 15, 1998. At
the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with Messrs. Richard Abbott
and Carl Terry, Vice Presidents
Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear SafetyAssessment/
Support, respectively, and other members of your staff.
During this six-week inspection period, we noted continued safe operation of both units by
your staff.
In accordance with 10CFR2.790of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and
its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
