This letter transmits the findings of the routine, resident safety inspection
conducted by Mr. Thomas P. Johnson and others from May 1, 1990 to June 18,
1990, at the Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations.
The findings
were discussed with Mr. l. K. Miller and Mr. J. J. Hagan of your staff.
Within the scope of this inspection, the inspectors noted several non-cited
violations.
The details of these issues'are within the report.
No reply to
this letter is required.
The letter also acknowledges receipt of your May 14, 1990 response to a Salem
violation cited in the NRC Inspection Report 50-272/90-05; 50-311/90-05.
Those corrective actions appear to be acceptable.
