Narrative

' Report for LER 50-366/1980-052 on 4-8-80, with the unit in cold shutdown, during unrelated maintenance to the standby gas treatment

system, the power cables to the heaters and fans were discovered to be undersized.

The architect-engineer was contacted a n d' confirmed that the cables had been erroneously undersized in the design.

A design change (80-118) was then initiated to replace the three conductor cables with three conductor

1. 2 AVG.

The cable replacement will be completed by 6-1-80.

The Unit I system has been reviewed and.is correct.
