This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. D. J. Vito and
others of this office on April 7-9, 1986 at the Susquehanna Steam Electric
Station, Berwick, Pennsylvania.
Areas examined dur.ing this inspection included observation of your. April 8,
1986 emergency preparedness exercise and other areas as described in the NRC
Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures, rep-
resentative records, facilities and equipment, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified and no
response to this letter is necessary.
