Dear Mr. Johnson:

On April 24, 1986, we notified you of a reportable item involving the electrical penetration assemblies (EPA's) supplied by Bunker Ramo (see TXX-4774). This is a follow-up interim report on a reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).

An interim report logged TXX-4853, dated June 11, 1986, stated that a project Task Team was investigating the circumstances resulting in the EPA deficiencies. The conclusions of the Task Team are scheduled to be completed in August, 1986. A specific construction schedule will be provided upon receipt of the hardware.

We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate submitting our next report by September 26, 1986.

Very truly yours,

[
