Good afternoon Ms. Stancil, I am a Licensing Project Manager at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) working with John Lamb and Billy Gleaves.
This email is to notify you that the subject license amendment request (LAR) from Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC), dated August 28, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23240A706), was submitted to amend Combined License (COL)
Number NPF-92 for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 4. The requested amendment proposes to remove COL Appendix C, Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria, and make appropriate revisions to the COL that reference this appendix. In addition, the requested amendment proposes the deletion of license conditions 2.D(2)(d) and 2.D(3)(b) that reference Appendix C. Because the VEGP Unit 4 ITAAC expired when the 10 CFR 52.103(g) finding was made by the NRC, they and are no longer requirements for the licensee and there is no requirement or purpose for the ITAAC to continue to reside in the license.
The NRC is in process of finalizing its review of this LAR. Please provide your comments to me by 5pm Monday, November 6, 2023.
Also, for future LARs please advise if we have not included the correct GA officials on this email.
