Good morning Rick, As discussed, BWXT Medical would like to withdraw our application for full validation of Transport Certification CDN/2094/B(U)-96 Rev4 to include the new F-522 overpack/F-528 shielding vessel configuration (application dated May 12, 2022).

When we re-apply, we will ensure to provide all of the required supplemental information that the US DOT and US NRC pointed out in as per your communications dated June 29, 2022 and Nov. 1, 2022 as listed below.

Any results of retests will be provided to the CNSC prior to submission to the US DOT.

As discussed, we also plan to submit an amendment application to the CNSC for the same Transport Certificate demonstrating transport package design compliance with the SSR-6 2018 Edition (current package design is certified to the SSR-6 2012 Edition). As a result, we will consider whether, from a business perspective, we can submit an application for Certificate Revision 5 for validation rather than for Certificate Revision 4 and then again, for Certificate Revision 5.

RE: EXTERNAL: RE: Request for Validation - CDN/2094/B(U)-96 Rev4 Good morning Rick, We have the drawings and the drop test results for the F-522/F-528 configuration. The remaining supporting information is not ready as our new Package Engineer is still working on re-doing the tests.

I wanted to reach out to you to inquire which of the following options you would prefer. We could:

1. Submit the information we have and request an extension for the remainder (to the new year

- end of Jan.)

2. Request extension and submit all information at that time
3. Withdraw application and resubmit when all information is available Could you let me know which option is preferable? If 1), could you provide a new link to upload to the file sharing protocol?

Thank you.
