This letter is written in response to your oral request to me yesterday.
You requested copies of the letters sent to our respective Oversight Comittees by the Commission. Those letters are attached including 6 transmittal memorandum to Mr. Craig L. Fuller, Assistant to the President for Cabinet Affairs.
You inquired as to whether or not there exists any recordation of Mr. Bill Dircks' telephone call to his Regional Administrators advising them of the Grand Jury . I spoke to Mr. Dircks on this point and he stated that he kept no notes of his telephone conversation to the Regional Administrators; that he read the November 1, 1984, letter from you to me " word for word"; and his copy of that letter is currently in his bri.efcase s r and he is carrying it with him, I trust this sufficiently answers your questions. If not, please advise me.
