IDAHO STATE UNIVERSITY - ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW OF AMENDMENT REQUEST TO UPDATE UNIVERSITY OFFICERS ROSTER (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER NUMBER L-2021-NFA-0003)

Dear Dr. Lybecker:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your submittal dated March 19, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession Number ML21105A742) requesting an amendment to Special Nuclear Material License Number 1373 (SNM-1373) to update the roster of university officials. In your submittal you requested to include Mr. Kermit Bunde as Chairperson of the Reactor Safety Committee and the removal of the Provost, and the Dean of the College of Science and Engineering positions from the list.

The NRC staff held teleconferences with you on April 30 and May 12, 2021, to request clarification of the proposed changes. By letter dated May 12, 2021 (ADAMS Accession Number ML21137A012), you provided supplemental information clarifying the changes.

We have completed our acceptance review and find your request acceptable for detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID)

L-2021-NFA-0003. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 70-1374 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our acceptance review and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing the technical review by June 30, 2021. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, need for additional/supplemental information, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
