PUBLICATION OF ADVANCE NOTICE OF RULEMAKING ON REACTOR SITING I request that you have the attached Advance Notice of Rulemaking on Reactor Siting published in the Federal Register as soon as is practical. Also attached is a letter to Mr. L. J. Sirico, Jr., which requires the Chairman's signature, concerning the relationship of this Rulemaking to the Petitions PMR-50-20 and PMR-100-2, which should be sent along with a copy of the ANR and a copy of NUREG-0625 (attached) on the date of publication. A congressional letter that should be sent in the appropriate manner is enclosed as well.
You should be aware that we will be making a distribution of a separate package-of information to a selected mailing list through Steve Scott, TIDC, to coincide with publication of the ANR in the Federal Register. This will consist of the -
ANR, NUREG-0625 and a cover letter requesting-re' view and coment by the inter-l ested addressee. Please inform both Mr. Scott, 492-8585 and R. Grill, EPSB, 443-5966 of the publication date as soon as it is certain so they can coordinate -
release of their infonnation.
