YOUR MEMORANDUM DATED JULY 2, 1986 I received your memorandum dated July 2,1986, regarding your anticipated retirement at the end of the year. Your advising me of your plans at this time and giving me' the opportunity to make changes in your. position and assigned duties is very much appreciated.
Your interest in maintaining the continuity of the office's work and providing an orderly transition to new management is indicative of your dedication to serving the Government's best interest.
I very much regret that you have decided to retire, but I understand and respect your decision. It has been both a pleasure and an honor to work with you. Your experience and knowledge of the auditing profession is unsurpassed and the Office of Inspector and Auditor and the NRC have benefited greatly from your efforts. I personally have learned and benefited from your wisdom and advice, and for that I thank you.
