FIRSTENERGY NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-346 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted a request by l FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Con pany (the licensee) to withdraw its September 20 1995, application for an amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3, issued to the licensee for operation of the Davis-Besse, Unit No.1, located in Ottawa County, Ohio. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of this amendment was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on November 27,1995 (60 FR 58405).
The purposa of the licensee's amendment request was to revise the Technical Specifications to increase the allowable as found pressure lift setting tolerance of the two Pressurizer Code Safety Valves.
By letter dated June 7,1999, the licensee informed the staff that it was withdrawing the license amendment application for further evaluation.
