COMNJD 98-002 - REDUCTION OF VULNERABILITIES IN EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS This responds to your February 23,1998, memorandum on the above topic.
I concur that the Commission should become familiar with the agency emergency procedures and responses. In furtherance of this aim, I encourage Commissioners to receive appropriate training and to participate in exercises to ensure that Commissioners are prepared for potential participation in the event of a real emergency. The Commissioners have always been offered this opportunity. Thus, I have no objection to the development of a schedule for Commissioners' training and participation in exercises.
