7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY C0feifSSION DAIRYLAND_ POWER COOPERATIVE DOCKET NO. 50-409 DENIAL Or AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE AND OPPORTUNITY FOR HEADING The U. S. huclear Reculatory Comission (the Comission) has denied a request by Dairyland Power Cecperative (the licensee) for an amendment to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-45, issued to Dairyland Power Cooperative for operation of the La Crosse Siciling Water Reactor, located in Vernon County, Wisconsin.

The amendment, as prnposed by the licensee in the ap91ication dated October 29, 1987, would chance the Technical Specifications to eliminate Tvoe B leak tests for certain components. Notice of censideration of issuance of this amendment was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on October 26, 1983 (48'FR 495841 All other itens requested in this application have been conpleted by previous licensing actions.
