SUBJECT:
.SHEARON HARRIS COLD LICENSE EXAMINATION SCHEDULE This .is in reference to a conference call between representatives of your staff and the NRC:on November 14, 1985. Participants during this conversation are identified in the enclosure.- The purpose of this conference call was to discuss the examination' schedule for the second group of Shearon Harris cold license candidates. The following points of agreement were reached.
- 1. Written examinations will be administered to Shearon Harris candidates (approximately 36) as scheduled during the week of January 20, 1986.
- 2. Plant walk-through and simulator examinations (operating tests) will be administered at a future, mutually agreeable date to this same group of candidates.
- 3. The schedule for the operating tests will be developed following the Carolina Power and Light (CP&L) Board . of Directors meeting in mid-December 1985.
- 4. . Since waivers have already been granted, the November 1985 candidates will not be required to take simulator examinations, unless unforeseen circumstances arise. Two examples of such circumstances are:
- a. An exceptionally high failure rate on the simulator phase of Group 2 examinations (those candidates taking the written test in
' January).
b.- An unusually long delay in the fuel load date of Shearon Harris.
