This will advise you of a possible future 10CFR21 report in regard to cable insulation damage found under outer jacket rework in one reel of Class IE electrical cable sold and shipped to Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation.
We are currently investigating this matter to determine its safety significance and scope, if our investigation determines that a reportable problem exists, we will proceed in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR21.
Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation is aware of this letter and is participating in our investigation.
