i The National' Bureau of Standards respectfully requests an amendment to its license no. TR-5 to increase the authorized maximum power level from 10 MWt to 20 MWt with the amended license to be valid

, for a period of 20 years from the date of issuance. The following-documents in support of the-application for the amendment are enclosed.

1. Addendum 1 to the NBSR Safety Analysis Report which contains

analyses for operation at 20 MW and other required information.

2. Proposed changes to the Technical-Specifications and Bases.
