Secretary of the Commission U.S. Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.

Att'n Docketing & Service Branch All of you!

It is my understanding that your commission has proposed changes to speed up operating license hearings concerning Commanche Peak and other like plants.

I consider the population of the U.S. to be in grave danger unless these nuclear plants are cautiously built and carefully monitor-ed by Intevenors.

The time-table which is proposed for hearings and promotions is unfair and will render investigation and exposure ineffective.

Pleasel Do not ask Congre-ss for legislation for an interim operating license.

I shall appreciate an answer!

Sincerely C%ckys (Ms) Cordye Hall J
