Record of Phone Conversation Richard E. Bulavinetz Nuclear Recqulatory Commission When February 25, 2011 With Whom Bill Pelle Fish and Wildlife Biologist San Joaquin Valley Branch Endangered Species Division U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service 2800 Cottage Way, Room W-2605 Sacramento, CA 95825 (916)414-6600, FAX 414-6712 Phone No.

Subject Diablo Canyon License Renewal - Protected species list and information mapping needs Overview of Conversation Provided Bill with brief overview of relicensing action for Diablo Canyon. E-mailed to him the original request for list of protected species sent to USFWS RPacific Southwest Regional Director Ren Lohoefener dated March 10, 2010; also sent him the species list sent to us by Heather Abby, USFWS Ventura Office, to David Wrona of the NRC.

Heather had recommended that the Sacramento Office of USFWS be contacted since part of transmission line corridor traversed this Sacramento Office jurisdiction.

Bill suggested that the NRC download as much information from the USFWS website as possible re: county protected species lists on USGS topographic maps in order to be more specific regarding request to USFWS for information:

Takeaways: Will review USFWS map files on the web to determine particular mapping needs, and to specify topographic quads where species information may be required.
