Supplemental Information Needed for Acceptance of Requested Licensing Action (TAC NO ME2162)
Dear Sir or Madam:
Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) submitted a license amendment request (Reference 1) to revise the Technical Specifications as they apply to the spent fuel pool storage requirements and the criticality requirements for Region I in the spent fuel pool and the north tilt pit fuel storage racks. The NRC staff reviewed the application and concluded that additional information was necessary to make an assessment regarding the acceptability of the proposed amendment. The NRC requested supplemental information in Reference 2, and further requested that the supplemental information be provided by November 3,2009.
ENO has determined that a complete response to the request for supplemental information cannot be provided by November 3, 2009. Therefore, ENO is withdrawing the license amendment request that was submitted in Reference 1.
A copy of this withdrawal letter has been provided to the designated representative of the State of Michigan.
