South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) submitted a request for an amendment to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) Unit 1 Technical Specification (TS) in a letter dated November 11, 2010 (Reference 1). The proposed change sought to revise TS 3/4.8.1, A.C. SOURCES - OPERATING, to improve operation and testing of the Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG). VCSNS Unit 1 provided a response to a request for additional information in a letter dated June 16, 2011 (Reference 3).
