Notification of Changes in Maine Yankee Board of Directors On March 2, 2012 (Reference 1), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a favorable Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) determination for Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company (Maine Yankee). The Company subsequently instituted a Negation Action Plan (see below). In furtherance of that Plan, Maine Yankee notifies the NRC of the following:

  • 1... Effective December-18,.2015, Mr. Alan Richardson and Mr. Kris Chahley, were removed by Emera Maine, a foreign sponsor company, as member and alternate member,..respectivelY, of the Board; ; : :.2. Effective December 18, 2015, Mr. Gerry Chasse was re-appointed as a member of the', Board by Emera Maine, effectiv~ely replacing Mr. Richardson; and .3. Effective December 21, 2015, Emera Maine removed Mr. Chasse as a member of the Board and reappointed Messrs. Richardson and Chahley to their previous positions on the Board.Mr. Chasse, Mr. Richardson and Mr. Chahiey had previously executed Certifications of Foreign Sponsor Representative in accordance with the Maine Yankee Board Resolution submitted on February 23, (Reference 2), Maine Negation Action Plan ,submitted on.April 24, 2012 (Reference 3), and the NRC Confirmatory.
