Dear Mr. DelaBarre:

WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 September 17 , 2018 Enclosed is an application dated August 22, 2018, recently received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), from Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., requesting amendment 02 to i ts existing license, XMAT429/01. The license presently authorizes the export of up to 2 , 800 kilograms of deuterium gas to the Republic of Korea and Taiwan for non-nuclear end use in semiconductor devices. The purpose of the amendment is to: 1) change the licensee point of contact; 2) change the address for Matheson Tri-Gas lnc.'s Tennessee location; 3) add the applicant's Newark , California plant to the list of suppliers and/or other parties; 4) change the address of Taiyo Nippon Sanso Taiwan Inc.; and 5) extend the date of expirat i on from December 31 , 2018 , to December 31 , 2020. There are no changes to the terms and conditions of the existing license being requested. Therefore , our office is processing this as a minor amendment , and if no comments are received from the public within the 30-day comment period , and it is determined that applicable legal requirements are satisfied , the NRC will issue the license.
