Zn addition, the operating logic of the mini-flow isolation valves is modified such that the valves will open on"high" RCS pressure signal to provide sufficient flow to prevent pump damage, and will close on"low" RCS pressure signal to ensure maximum injection flow.Conclusion The replacement/modification to the above safety injection alternate mini-flow valves has no adverse impact on the post-fire operability of the CVCS or SZ systems, since these valves are not credited for achieving and maintaining post-fire safe shutdown.Consequently, the post-fixe safe shutdown capability is not impacted by the modification.
Modifications to the control logic of valves 2CS-V757-SA and 2CS-V759-SB require routing of new cables and rerouting'f existing cables, thus resulting in the introduction of combustible loading (in the form of cable insulation) to.the Reactor Auxiliary Building.However, since the added combustible materials have been enveloped by the worst-case cable tray loading assessment reflected in the combustible loading figures shown in the HNP Fire Hazards Analysis, there is no increase in the combustible loading/fire severity in the affected fire areas.The new cable routings also require breaching of fire barriers.The impact, if any, on this passive fire protection feature shall be assessed by the NED SSD Unit.Based on the above, it is concluded that PCR-6547 has no impact on 10CFR50, Appendix R, long-term compliance.
