OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 - RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Snider:
By letter dated June 7, 2021, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML21158A193), Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke Energy) submitted an application for subsequent license renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-38, DPR-47, and DPR-55 for Oconee Nuclear Station (ONS), Units 1, 2, and 3, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or staff). We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 2.101(a)(2) and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, the NRC staff will issue a schedule for the review, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.102(a).
For your information, we have enclosed a copy of the notice relating to your application. We are sending the same notice to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Angela Wu as the project manager for the safety review, and Mr. Lance Rakovan as the project manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of all license renewal correspondence to Ms. Wu and Mr. Rakovan. Mr. Shawn Williams continues to remain responsible for the project management of all issues other than license renewal for ONS.
