This could add about$70 million to the bills of the electric consumers in the TVA region during the months of June, July, and August.T?e de-cision to purchase any available large b3.ocRs of power may have e to be made as early as mid-?lay, and will involve demand charges of about$20 million, whether or not any power is later used.Xf this amount of power cannot be purchased, it appears that system reliability will be reduced to unacceptable levels.Accordingly, we urge that a decision on TVA's motion be rendered expeditious'ly..

A favorable decision will'ensure system reliability'nd avoid the unnecessary expenditure of$70 million, which must be borne by the ratepayers.
