SUMMARY OF PUBLIC MEETING On May 20, 2015, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) met with members of the public at the Westchester Marriott, Tarrytown, NY, to discuss the NRC's assessment of safety performance at Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for calendar year 2014. The NRC made a presentation on the safety performance for Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for calendar year 2014. Following the presentation, the NRC held a question and answer session, during which interested stakeholders were able to ask questions or make statements in a public forum. | |||
Approximately 350 people attended the meeting, including representatives of federal, state, and local governments. During the question and answer session, individuals requested time to either make a statement or ask a question related to NRC oversight of Indian Point Units 2 and 3. Following the question and answer session, NRC personnel were available to speak individually with stakeholders. The NRC's assessment letter can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) with Accession Number ML15061A401.
