The reason for placing the site meterological station out of service was due to a planned plant modification to replace obsolete meterological equipment. This modi 0 cation entails new instrumentation, a new mete:ological tower, and new communication equipment. As a compensatory measure, all ralease of gaseous radioactive material from the radwaste gas decay tanks at both units was suspended.
