McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1 Docket No. 50-369 LER/RO-369/83-20

Dear Mr. C'Reilly,

My letter of May 17, 1983 submitted reportable occurrence report.RO-369/83-20 which dealt with discrepancies in the Unit 1 Initial Integrated Leak Rate Test.

As part of the corrective actions given in the report it was stated that a procedural change will be incorporated in the 4010 month Surveillance Test to cover Technical Specification 4.6.1.2f, detailing the Soap Bubble Test of hot penetration flued head to guard pipe welds while containment is pressurized.

This change was originally to be incorporated in the Unit 1 procedure by 6/15/83; however, the change will now be incorporated prior to performance of the next surveillance testing.

Very t'ruly yours, b-l$
