In Supplement 1 to GL 87-02, the NRC staff requested a commitment to the Generic implementation Procedure for Seismic Verification of M.echanical and Electrical Equipment for Nuclear Plants, Revision 2, (GIP-2) prepared by Seismic Qualification Utility Group (SOUG) for resolution of USl A-46. The NRC also requested a schedule for implementation of GIP-2 and submission of a report summarizing the results of the USI A-46 program. SUMMARY
