Thank you for your letter dated October 17, 1978, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance identified i

in our letter dated September 14, 1978.

In regard to items A and C, we understand you are supplementing your response to include corrective action planned or taken to avoid further noncompliance.

Regarding item B, this matter will remain open pending Nuclear Reactor Regulation's (NRR) review of the applicable sections of revision 47 to your FSAR. We will examine your corrective action during a future inspection.

In addition, this relates to the telephone discussions between Mr. Schweirs of your staff, and myself on October 31, 1978 regarding the contents of responses to our letters containing items of noncompliance. We understand that in future responses you will pay particular attention to addressing corrective actions intended to avoid further noncompliance items.
