The following information is given in response to NRC Bulletin 88-03, "Inadequate Latch Engagement in HFA Type Latching Relays Manufactured by General Electric (GE) ',ompany" :

NRC Request:

Perform inspections to ensure that all GE latching-type HFA relays installed in Class IE (safety-related) applications have adequate latch engagement and that those relays which fail to meet acceptance criteria be repaired or replaced, if you do not have HFA latching-type relays subject'to this bulletin, provide a letter stating this fact.

TV Electric Response:

At CPSES, HFA relays are not used in Class 1E (safety-related) applications.
