Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-443/86-31

This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. Peter C. Wen of

this office on June 2-6, 1986, at the Seabrook Station, Unit 1, of activities

authorized by NRC License No. CPPR-135 and to the discussions of our findings

held by Mr. Wen with Mr. D. G. McLain of your staf f at the conclusion of the

inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Degion I Inspec-

tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the in-

spection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative

records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
