Dear Sir:

RE: R-92 An examination of records for perfonning various reactor function checks and calibrations indicates a variation from Technical Specifica-tions in a recent year. The recording sheet kept for administrative monitorir.g of various checks was developed in 1979. Unfortunately, an incorrect interval for control rod drop times was documented on the record sheet as 12 month interval instead of the required semi-annual check. Review of the sheets indicated that despite the error only one semiannual check of drop times was missed in the fall of 1981. The error on the record sheet for check interval has been corrected and current rod drops times are as scheduled. A review of past rod drop measurements indicate that no significant variations have occurred in the drop times over periods of several years. It is expected that correction of the interval value on the record sheet will suffice to insure continued proper surveillance.

Sincerely yours, X f. h T. L. Bauer
