SE AMENDMENT REQUEST ACCEPTANCE REVIEW PROCESS (OIG-19-A-05) Attached is License Amendment Request Acceptance Review Process. The audit objective was to viewing nuclear power plant License Amendment Requests, with emphasis on preliminary acceptance/rejection procedures and other actions taken to ensure timely, consistent, and well-supported decisions. OIG found that NRC is using an inefficient and potentially inaccurate process to develop completed acceptance review reports. However, NRC can benefit from a strengthened quality assurance process and enhancement of the Replacement Reactor Program System to generate automated reports.
