Dear Mr. Sheppard:

By letter dated June 7, 2006, STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) applied foramendments to the South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-76 and NPF-80, respectively. The proposed amendments would have modified the facility Spent Fuel Pool and In-Containment Storage Area Criticality Analysis. Subsequently, by letter dated November 28, 2007, STPNOC withdrew the amendment request. The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendments toFacility Operating Licenses with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.Sincerely,/RA by Carl F.
