The Peoria Tribe ofIndians of Oklahoma is unaware of any documentation directly linking Indian Religious Sites tothe newly proposed project location. | |||
There appear to be no objects of cultural significance orartifacts linked to our tribe located on or near the project location. | |||
The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma is unaware of items covered under NAGPRA (NativeAmerican Graves Protection and Repatriation Act) to be associated with the proposed project site.These items include: | |||
funerary or sacred objects; objects of cultural patrimony; or ancestral humanremains.The Peoria Tribe has no objection at this time to the proposed SHINE Medical Radioisotope Production Facility. | |||
If, however, at any time items are discovered which fall under the protection of NAGPRA, the Peoria Tribe requests immediate notification and consultation. | |||
In addition state,local and tribal authorities should be advised as to the findings and construction halted untilconsultation with all concerned parties has occurred. | |||
