RESOLUTION 2013-0701 0610Resolution of Support for the License RenewalApplication of the Byron Power Generating StationWHEREAS, the government of the County of Ogle, State of Illinois, has a responsibility of certainand specific duties for the good of the public welfare of its citizens, and such responsibility beingvested with the County Board of the County of Ogle, andWHEREAS, electricity generation is an important part of our state economy and the economy ofOgle County, andWHEREAS, competitive, abundant and reliable energy is a significant factor in attracting andretaining jobs in Illinois, andWHEREAS, since 1985, the Byron Nuclear Generating Station has been a major Ogle Countyemployer, directly creating 850 full-time jobs, up to 2,500 part-time jobs during re-fueling | |||
