By letter clated November 5,1997, as supplemented by letter dated November 20,1997, the licensee Informed the NRC that two changes were made to Technical Specification Bases Section 3/4.4.9,
* Reactor Coolant System (Low Temperature Overpressure Protection Subsection)." The NRC staff elected to review these Bases changes.
One of the Bases changes stetes that " Analysis conservatively demonstrates that the RHR
[ Residual Heat Removal] relief valves limit RCS [ Reactor Coolant System] pressure to approximately 590 psig." The staff asked the licensee for the supporting calculation for the 590 psig, and the licensee provided the staff with the subject calculation. The purpose of this note is to place the subject calculation in the public document room.
