SUBJECT: LICENSE TERMINATION
By application dated January 30, 2019, Bearing Sea Environmental, LLC informed the
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that they wished to terminate the NRC
radioactive materials license. The NRC Form 314 dated January 30, 2019, stated that
no radioactive materials have ever been procured or possessed under this license.
The staff has reviewed the statements made in NRC Form 314 and the results of the
2016 NRC inspection. NRC License No. 50-29273-01 authorizes work at temporary job
sites in NRC jurisdiction and no field stations are identified in this license. Based on the
documentation submitted and a review of your historical file, the staff concluded that all
licensable radioactive material is no longer stored at temporary job sites in NRC
jurisdiction and no field stations need to be released for unrestricted use. Please find
enclosed Amendment No. 05 to License No. 50-29273-01 authorizing your license
termination. An environmental assessment for this action is not required since this
action is categorically excluded under 10 CFR 51.22, as applicable.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter
and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public
Document Room or from the NRCs document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible
from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
