STURGEON DATA COLLECTION FORM For use in documenting sturgeon injury or mortality incidental to a federal action Comments: A deceased and severely damnaged Atlantic sturgeon was collected from the Salem Circulating Water Intake Structure during routine trash rack cleaning on 04/11/18, at 09:47 am. Positive identification was made by Environmental Consulting Services personnel at 09:50am. The specimen was measured, photograhed, and inspected for tags. No evidence of external tags was found, no existing PIT tags were indicated, and no prior fin clip was observed. Therefore, a pelvic fin clip was also collected for future DNA analysis. Upon completion of processing, the specimen bagged and placed on ice for transport back to the ECSI office. Both the specimen and the fin clip sample has been stored in refrigeration waiting further instruction on disposition. PSEG Nuclear Environmental Affairs personnel, after being contacted in regards to the incidental take, contacted the NMFS and the NJDEP at 10:35am and 10:38am respectively.
